My name is Ziliang Zhao. I am now a third-year Ph.D. student at the Gaoling School of Artificial Intelligence, Renmin University of China. I am fortunate to be advised by Prof. Zhicheng Dou and Prof. Ji-Rong Wen. I am also a Research Fellow at Waseda University in Japan supervised by Prof. Sakai Tetsuya. Previously, I received Bachelor degree from Shandong University in 2020 and Master degree from Renmin University of China in 2023.
My recent research topics is mainly about complex / multi-turn instruction synthesis and reinforcement learning. Before, my research centers on proactive and interactive information-seeking and intent understanding, spanning both web search and user-LLM interactions. I also conduct fundamental IR research, covering areas like retrieval, ranking, and RAG.
